Description
The Verhonkulma pier on the west coast of the large, open lake Vanajanselkä offers an excellent autumn migration monitoring location for wildfowl, gulls and waders. Some of the flock migrate very close by this spot, some migrate on the opposite coast, to the south-facing directions. The pier has a space for a big group of birders if necessary. Watching migration on this site is almost always worth it from Mid-summer wader migration to November to see Arctic wildfowl.
