Description
An initiative of The Sound Approach, the Martinhal listening station was set up at the request of Magnus Robb and is operated by Geoffrey Morrison. Geoffrey records every night in autumn from civil dusk to civil dawn and later Magnus Robb picks up the recordings and analyses them. Because Magnus lives roughly 3-4 hours drive away, and going through a large batch of recordings costs so much time, there is often a delay of 1-2 months before the counts appear here.
Location
Martinhal resort just outside Sagres, in the southwest corner of Portugal (and Europe).
Access
Private site, but anywhere in Martinhal or Sagres would give similar results.
